Our Picks

We have lots of favourite places and things to do in the area and here are a few suggestions.  Our new toll free line is available at 1-877-211-7044.

Belwood - 2km NE
In this little hamlet you’ll find Belwood Super Snax, a great little restaurant serving an incredible breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a popular spot enjoyed by locals, cottagers and campers alike.

Across the street is the Belwood Country Market a terrific general store featuring home baking, artisanal breads, fresh produce and everything you forgot to bring with you? Choose from homemade potato salad, coleslaw, deli meats, steaks and freshly prepared meals to go. Rotisserie chickens are available on weekends. While there, gas up your vehicle and boat.  Visit their website at http://belwoodcountrymarket.com/

Don't forget the golf course.  Click here for Golf North.

On Sunday’s St. John United Church welcomes people to their 11:15am service.
Those who like to walk or cycle, the “Cataract Trailway” has an entry point in Belwood. From here you can bike east to the head of the Forks of the Credit or west to the Shand Dam, Fergus and Elora.

Fergus - 10km SW
There are lots of eateries in Fergus and something for everyone’s taste. Our favourites are the Tandoori Grill for a taste of India, For the chocoholic, I Love Chocolate prepares chocolates and fudge on their premises. St Andrew Street has many shops worthy of an afternoon of browsing.

Take in the gentle rapids of the Grand River and a stroll through Templin Gardens. For the fisherman try fly fishing on the Grand River between the Shand Dam and Fergus on 2nd Line or on Lake Belwood.
